Currie Cup 2019

The Currie Cup tournament is South Africa's premier domestic rugby union competition, played each winter and spring (June to October), featuring teams representing either entire provinces or substantial regions within provinces. Although it is the premier domestic competition, South African teams also compete in the international Super Rugby and Pro14 competitions.

Steeped in history and tradition, the Currie Cup dates back to 1891. The tournament is regarded as the cornerstone of South Africa's rugby heritage, and the coveted gold trophy remains the most prestigious prize in South African domestic rugby.

ICC Cricket World Cup


The wait is almost over as the 12th ICC Cricket World Cup gets under way Tomorrow on Thursday 30 May.


The finest cricket stars on the planet will head to the UK this month to battle for supremacy with England, Australia and India expected to be the top contenders for the trophy. The action will be spread around the UK with 48 matches to enjoy between now and the final in mid-July. Fans around the world will be desperate to soak up every minute of the action whether they’re basking in the iconic grounds or sitting at home tracking every ball.

2019 Wimbledon Championships

The Championships, Wimbledon, commonly known simply as Wimbledon, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, and is regarded by many as the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London, since 1877 and is played on outdoor grass courts.


Wimbledon traditions include a strict dress code for competitors and Royal patronage. Strawberries and cream is traditionally consumed at the tournament. In 2017, fans consumed 34,000 kg of English strawberries and 10,000 litres of cream.
